BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking an SAP BRIM -System Administrator to work in the Middletown, PA area.  This is a full time position with at least 2 days on-site and 
possibly 3 days remote.  

The System Administrator ensures reliable, secure, and compliant operations of SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) and SAP S/4HANA environments. This role manages user access, environment configuration, patching, performance monitoring, backup/restore, and incident response across BRIM modules—Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Invoicing (CI), and Convergent Charging (CC)—and integrated systems (CRM, payment gateways, mediation). The administrator collaborates with SMEs, architects, developers, and security teams to meet Commonwealth standards and SLA targets. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Environment Administration 

    • Administer SAP S/4HANA and BRIM landscapes (DEV/TEST/PROD), including client settings, transports, and system parameters. 
    • Coordinate patching, upgrades, and kernel/Support Package updates with minimal downtime. 

  • Access & Security 

    • Manage role based access control (RBAC), user provisioning, and segregation of duties checks. 
    • Enforce encryption, tokenization, and secure payment flows per PCI DSS and Commonwealth standards. 

  • Monitoring & Performance 

    • Configure and monitor system health (HANA, CI, CC) and integration queues (IDoc/ALE, RFC). 
    • Track SLAs, capacity, and performance; implement tuning and housekeeping tasks. 

  • Integration & Interface Operations 

    • Support SAP BTP/CPI interfaces, OData/REST APIs, IDoc/RFC connectivity, and message retry/queue management. 
    • Coordinate with integration teams to validate endpoints and certificates. 

  • Backup, Recovery & Continuity 

    • Execute backup/restore procedures; maintain disaster recovery runbooks and participate in DR tests. 
    • Ensure data integrity during migrations and delta load cutovers. 

  • Compliance & Audit Readiness 

    • Maintain audit ready evidence: change logs, access reviews, configuration baselines, and incident records. 
    • Support SOC1/SOC2 reporting and PCI DSS assessments. 

  • Incident, Problem & Change Management 

    • Triage incidents in ServiceNow; drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes. 
    • Follow change management procedures; coordinate releases and transport approvals. 

  • Documentation & Collaboration 

    • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), environment diagrams, and inventory. 
    • Partner with SMEs, architects, and developers to support testing (SIT/UAT) and deployments. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of system administration experience, including 3+ years with SAP landscapes. 
  • Hands-on administration of SAP S/4HANA and BRIM modules (SOM, CI, CC) in cloud-hosted environments. 
  • Experience with user/role management, transports, performance monitoring, and interface operations (IDoc, RFC, OData). 
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS, SOC1/SOC2 controls, encryption/tokenization, and secure payment integrations. 
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow (ITSM), Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA for change and release tracking. 

 Preferred Skills:

  • SAP BRIM/S/4HANA or SAP Basis certifications highly desirable. 
  • Experience with SAP BTP (API Management, Event Mesh) and SAP CPI. 
  • Familiarity with HANA administration, backup/restore, and performance tuning. 
  • Knowledge of mediation systems supporting usage capture and rating integrations. 
  • Hybrid Agile/DevOps experience; strong communication and documentation skills.
