BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking Software Engineer, for both MD area as well as PA area. These positions are full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required in PA and MD. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.
As a Software Engineer, you will review and analyze system specifications.
Key Responsibilities: Other tasks performed by this position:
- A. Prepares programming specifications
- B. Analyzes existing systems/subsystems for reusability benefits and needed changes. Prepares design plans and written analyses
- C. Prepares unit and test scripts
- D. Prepares documentation
Basic Qualifications:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. - OR - Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
Specialized Experience:
- The proposed candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience working with Ada, SQL, or third/fourth generation languages in the design and implementation of systems
- The applicant must also have one (1) year working with Database Management Systems (DBMS)
Additional Qualifications:
- The proposed candidate must have at three (3) years of experience as a software engineer.
