BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking Engineer, Systems Design for both MD area as well as PA area. These positions are full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required in PA and MD. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.
As an Engineer, Systems Design, you must be able to perform design of information systems, including the design of the application architecture, database, and interfaces. This position is responsible for gathering and analyzing user requirements and translating them into system designs.
Basic Qualifications:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. (Note: A Master’s degree is preferred.)
Specialized Experience:
- The proposed candidate must have at least four (4) years of experience analyzing user requirements and translating them into system designs using various design tools and techniques. The proposed candidate must have demonstrated the ability to develop and execute system designs, ensure implementation of repeatable processes, and ensure compliance with Capability Maturity Model (CMM) methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The proposed candidate must have at least six (6) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT systems. Familiar with Capability Maturity Model compliant structured methodology.
