BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking Data Architect for both MD area as well as PA area. These positions are full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required in PA and MD. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.
As a Data Architect , you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture in alignment with the agency/organization’s business practice.
Key Responsibilities: The individual is responsible for the following tasks:
- A. Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data architecture
- B. Define and enforce data architecture standards, principles, and best practices
- C. Collaboration with multiple teams to understand data usage requirements and objectives
- D. Identify and evaluate data management solutions and technologies
- E. Implement data governance policies and procedures to promote data quality, integrity, security, and compliance
- F. Evaluate, improve, and optimize current systems
- G. Create and update documentation
Basic Qualifications:
- This position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field. - OR - Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
Specialized Experience:
- Applicant must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a data architect.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The candidate should have experience as a data architect or similar role with a strong understanding of data architecture principles and practices. The candidate should be proficient in data modeling tools and knowledgeable of relational, non-relational, and graph databases, along with data management platforms.
