BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Architect. This is a full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.  

As a Senior Systems Architect, you will lead you will lead  Agile-driven modernization efforts, focusing on developing and transitioning legacy logistics IT systems to scalable, secure, and cloud-enabled platforms. The architect will be responsible for creating system blueprints, guiding migration strategies, and ensuring interoperability across Navy ERP, NOSS, N-SCM, and N-MRO systems while aligning with the Navy’s Six+1 Strategy.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of enterprise-wide architecture solutions.
  • Develop current and target state models for business processes, data flows, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Plan and oversee architecture transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms using Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, DevSecOps, data engineers, and Navy stakeholders.
  • Ensure integration of Navy ERP, NDE, and associated logistics systems in compliance with DoD mandates.
  • Support infrastructure alignment for afloat and ashore environments, including high-availability and secure solutions.
  • Maintain technical reference models and enforce enterprise architecture best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming 
 
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; OR three (3) years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience architecting five (5) or more IT systems, with a minimum of two (2) years supporting Agile teams.
  • Experience with systems related to logistics, supply chain, maintenance, or ERP integration.
  • Knowledge of Navy or DoD IT environments, standards, and accreditation processes.
  • Ability to support architecture planning for N-SCM, N-MRO, and NOSS modernization initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience supporting LOG IT CMDS, PEO MLB, or other Navy modernization efforts.
  • Knowledge of Navy Data Environment (NDE), ServiceNow, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Certification in TOGAF, DoDAF, or similar enterprise architecture frameworks
